Ceramic Coating in Castle Rock, COCorrected first, then sealed in glass.

A ceramic coating bonds to the clear coat, adds depth and makes washing easier. We only lay it over paint that has been cleaned, clayed and polished.

Ceramic Coating, the way we do it.

A ceramic coating is a liquid layer that cures hard on top of your clear coat. Once it cures, water beads and rolls off, grime lets go sooner, and a hand wash takes far less effort.

It also adds a deep, glassy gloss, and darker paint shows it most. The catch: a coating seals in whatever sits under it, swirls and scratches included.

So every coating we install starts with a wash, iron decontamination, a clay bar and machine polishing. A coating resists light marring better than bare clear coat, but no coating makes paint scratch proof.

Plan on the vehicle staying dry and out of the weather while it cures, usually about a day. Google reviewers mention a Lexus, a Subaru STI, a Porsche 911 and a Chevy Silverado coated by Juan.

What is included

Ceramic Coating: what happens on the day.

  1. 01

    Inspection under light

We check for swirls, scratches, tar, oxidation and contamination before quoting the prep your paint needs.

  2. 02

    Wash and decontamination

A careful hand wash, then an iron remover and a clay bar to pull out what washing leaves behind.

  3. 03

    Machine polishing

Swirls, haze and light scratches are polished out, so the coating locks in a clean, level finish.

  4. 04

    Panel wipe

Polishing oils come off every panel, so the coating bonds straight to the clear coat.

  5. 05

    Coating, panel by panel

The coating goes on and is levelled in small sections, then checked under light for high spots.

  6. 06

    Wheels, trim and glass

Higher levels add coating on wheels, exterior plastics and glass. Ask what your level covers.

Under the light

Why the paint is corrected first.

Swirl marks hide in shade and overcast light. Put a single bright light on the paint and they show up as fine rings circling the reflection. That is how every job here starts: paint checked under a light before anything is quoted.

  • Left As found: wash swirls ring the light and blur it.
  • Right Corrected: one tight, clean reflection.
Drag across the panel to move the light. A drawing of the idea, not a photo of a job.

Three levels, same careful prep.

Our own service list has three coating levels. Every one starts with decontamination and polishing, and the higher levels coat more surfaces.

Send the vehicle and how you drive it, and we match a level to it. Prices depend on size and paint condition, so we quote after a look.

How booking works

Four steps from first text to finished.

  1. 01

    Call or text

Send the year, make, model and a few photos to (970) 518-0600. Dark paint and old swirls are worth showing.

  2. 02

    Pick the place

We work mobile across eight Colorado counties. No good spot? Ask about our garage.

  3. 03

    Prep, correct, coat

Wash, decontamination, clay and polishing come first. The coating goes on last, panel by panel.

  4. 04

    Let it cure

Keep it dry for about a day while the coating cures, then wash it gently using the care steps we give you.

Worth knowing

Darker paint shows every swirl, so black, navy and deep red cars take longer to correct before they are coated.

FAQ

Ceramic Coating questions.

Something else? Call or text (970) 518-0600.

Do you correct the paint before coating?

Every time. A coating locks in whatever is underneath, so each install starts with a wash, iron decontamination, a clay bar and machine polishing. How much polishing depends on the paint, which is why we look at it before quoting.

How long does a ceramic coating take?

Most of the time goes into prep. A full correction and coating can run 8 to 12 hours of work, then the coating needs roughly 12 to 24 hours to cure before it sees rain or a wash.

Will a coating stop rock chips and scratches?

No coating does that. Ceramic resists light marring better than bare clear coat and keeps paint easier to clean, but rock chips call for paint protection film. Ask us about clear bra if chips are the worry.

Can you coat a boat, RV or plane?

Yes. Cars are most of the work, but our own service list includes planes, boats, trailers and RVs. Call or text what you have and where it is parked.
