Paint care, locally
What Aurora is hard on.
Hail season is real
Summer storms and hail are common in Aurora. No coating stops hail, but a coated car rinses clean faster.
Winter film off I-225
Winter roads put magnesium chloride and sand on the lower panels. It films and dulls paint until it is removed.
Apartment lot or driveway
Over a third of households rent. Tell us where the car sleeps, because a coating needs 12 to 24 hours to cure.
The order matters
Five stages, always in this order.
Even a new car goes through all five. Transport film, rail dust and dealer car washes leave marks before you ever drive it home.
- 01
Wash
Plenty of suds, two or three buckets, and no brushes on the paint when it can be helped.
- 02
Decontaminate
An iron remover dissolves brake dust and rail fallout that a wash leaves stuck in the clear coat.
- 03
Clay
A clay bar lifts tar, road debris and bonded grime until the paint feels smooth under a fingertip.
- 04
Correct
Machine polishing takes out swirls, light scratches and oxidation, one panel at a time under light.
- 05
Protect
Wax, sealant or a ceramic coating goes on last. A coating then needs about a day to cure.

Juan did an incredible job bringing my STi’s paint back to life and applying a top-notch ceramic coat. It’s been a few months since I picked it up, and the results still blow me away every time I see my car. The paint finish is glossy, swirl-free, and the ceramic coating has made maintenance much easier—dirt and grime slide right off with minimal effort. …

Juan did an incredible job ceramic coating my Porsche 911. The finish looks amazing — deep, glossy, and super slick to the touch. He was professional, detail-oriented, and clearly takes pride in his work. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend Juan if you want your car looking its absolute best!

Do you come to Sterling Hills and Traditions?
Yes. Patriot Ceramics is mostly mobile across the Denver metro, so all of Aurora is covered, from Fitzsimons out to Traditions and Southlands. Call or text (970) 518-0600 with the address.
Can you work at my apartment complex?
It depends on the lot and the job. Tell us where the car parks. If a lot will not work, our garage is first come, first served.
Will a ceramic coating stop hail damage?
No. Nothing on the paint stops hail, and Aurora gets its share of summer storms. A coating is a hard layer on top of the clear coat that resists light scratching better than bare clear coat and makes the car easier to keep clean.
What does a coating cost in Aurora?
The same as anywhere in the metro: it depends on the vehicle, the paint and the coating level. Text a few photos to (970) 518-0600 and we quote after a look.
